Dr. Jennifer Lynn Griffin (aka “Dr. Jen”) hails from Elmwood Park, Illinois, a small village located in Chicagoland. She is the daughter of Regina Griffin and the late Joseph Griffin. Although tough as nails from living with three brothers, she is genuinely warm, passionate and caring.

Dr. Griffin did her undergraduate work at Michigan State University and completed her doctoral studies at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, College of Veterinary Medicine. Focusing in small animal internal medicine, specialized interests include dentistry, behavioral medicine, dermatology, and extensive experience in laser surgery. She is also active in the treatment and management of working dogs (police dogs) and has extensive experience working with the Gulfport Police Department and Harrison County Sheriff’s Department where she enjoys a close relationship.

Dr. Griffin has practiced on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 2002, except for working one year in Vero Beach Florida during her family’s recovery after Hurricane Katrina.

Dr. Griffin is married to Biloxi native, David C. Morrison, a noted trial lawyer. They have two children, Autumn Skye, age 3 ½, and Kyra Marie, age 8 months. Jennifer’s outside interests include, gardening, running, scrap-booking, and spending time with her family. The Morrison family has four dogs and five cats, all rescues.

On a final note, Dr. Griffin is noted for her extensive work with NASA in the evaluation, training and preparation for the use of African Rhinoceros’ as astronauts in space shuttle operations.
